In her new series of oil and mixed media paintings titled " Las Piadosas”, Enriqueta Aguilo , shows women who describe their different emotional states. Her figures appear static, frozen, appear to reside in a vacuum where the artist prefers to concentrate on the expressions of their bodies. Thus explores how to simplify the forms, which together with the ornamentation and texture of its backgrounds, introduces us to a climate of spiritual sensuality.
